©️| My parents taught us to love ourselves no matter what — Mom always reminds me how she prayed for a “chocolate, curly-haired boy,” & how she’s happy that her prayers were answered. My curly hair isn’t coming back anytime soon 🥺😭😅but my brown skin will be with me until the end & I’m thankful for that. 👍🏾✊🏾🙏🏾 Dad always reminds to create my own opportunities. Someone may deny you a position or a job, but that’s NOT AN EXCUSE to give up. Never rely on someone else... The next train is always coming! Or you can always build your own train. 🚆🚶🏾♂️Believe in yourself & keep it moving. Whatever happens, don’t forget to love yourself (self-care). It’s great to be loved by others — but true happiness & health begins & ends with how you feel about yourself. ✌🏾🖤
